After losing his beloved wife and son to foul play, Aladdin steps down as king to return to what he does best: treasure hunting.
But his plans take a turn when a desperate noblewoman named Jewel hires him to rescue her kidnapped son.
It turns out, a powerful wizard from the magical land of Djinnland has designs on Aladdin's kingdom -- and Jewel's son is the final piece of a sinister plot.
To thwart the wizard, Aladdin needs the help of a mighty ally: the djinn. But his old friend is also being held prisoner in Djinnland.
To save the boy, his kingdom, and the djinn, Aladdin and Jewel must venture into a world far stranger than anything they could have imagined. What could possibly go wrong?
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:
"You'll love it! OMGoodness! I LOVED this little gem. It was so true to the movies that it was so refreshing to read! Good going, and what a break from the norm. I will be reading more along this series!" -- Amazon review
"Surprisingly amazing! A new take on my beloved Aladdin story. After secluding himself to a life of hiding after the death of his wife and son, Aladdin (aka Niddala) rediscovers what life, adventure and love are all about while searching for the son of a beautiful woman, a search that takes him into the world of djinns. Be ready for a delightful book full of action and drama, with the perfect amount of humor." -- Amazon review
"If you enjoy fantasy and adventure, with a whole bunch of humor, then this is a story for you. Easy to follow plot with a pretty fast pace. The snarky banter between Niddala and Jewel is funny and the growing sexual tension is hilarious. Jewel is a woman who certainly knows how to use her assets to her advantage, and the results kept me in stitches. Niddala is a hero for hire with a golden heart, even if that heart has been shattered with the loss of his family. He treats everyone as equals (most of the time) and his bickering with Faddy had me snorting with laughter. 'And quit calling me master.' -- 'Yes master.' His inability to 'perform' is actually quite sweet. Clearly the man needs to be in love in order to perform. (Dream man? Yes! Yes! Yes!) I'm not regurgitating the synopsis or giving away the ending. If you enjoy fantasy and adventure with a whole bunch of sexy humor this is a story for you. I know I loved it, and I'm off to start the next book in the series!" -- Amazon review
"Classic magical adventure! Aladdin Relighted is set several years after the original Aladdin story. It's a well-written collaboration combining the talents of two of my favorite authors. From the first page I was hooked: Aladdin is hired by Jewel to rescue her son from his evil Father; in doing so, they have to travel across the country with the help of various magical beings, and soon take a short cut through Djinnland. There is plenty of humor. I don't know why it took me over a year to buy this book, but at least now I can continue straight away with books two and three!" -- Amazon review
"Very interesting book. Well-written by two of my favorite authors. I've been a Piers Anthony fan since 1984, with his multitude of fantasy and sci-fi series. I've read just about everything he has written, and J R Rain with his 'Vampire for Hire' series has held my interest ever since I read Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire #1). In this book, these two authors have come together and created a story that kept me entertained throughout the entire book. I look forward to reading the next book in this trilogy!" -- Amazon review
