Description
'Becwethan' is a crime thriller. It came as a total shock; out of the blue. Leo was sitting in the solicitor's office for the reading of his mother's will when the words "Swiss Chalet" were uttered. 'What Chalet?' Leo thought. 'I don't know anything about a Swiss Chalet... what the... really mum... why... ?' The solicitor continued; "In the family for several hundred years." Leo nearly fell off his chair. The Swiss Chalet had just got a whole lot bigger; now there was a heritage attached to it; relatives no doubt. It was the opportunity of a lifetime. A chance to take that three month sabbatical the police force had been offering him; a chance to recharge his batteries. 'Go and take a look at it' he encouraged himself; 'Swiss Chalet... ridiculous', he had to pinch himself. 'It's almost certainly a wreck; probably just a pile of timbers on the floor by now' he thought.
BUT, Leo's problem wasn't the Chalet or its state of disrepair. No, Leo's problem was the fact that he turned up. No one was expecting him, and no one wanted him anywhere near the place... on pain of death.
