Lacy is a lonely 16 year old estranged from her father and living with her mum in a rough part of town as an only child. She is surprised to be given a silver cross for her 16th birthday which her mother believes once belonged to Lacy's Great Grandfather. This is inscribed with mysterious intials on the back, which Lacy sets out to uncover. She starts to trace her family tree, which seems to have been deliberately concealed around World War II. Her Grandmother, Margaret, had been orphaned during the war after a bomb raid which left her completely deaf. Lacy knows that Margaret died before she was born, but she doesn't know how. Lacy soon realises that the silver cross is haunted by the ghost of her Great Grandfather, who wants to avenge the crimes against him and his family. Can the silver cross save Lacy from becoming the next victim of her own horror story?
