Description

Christmas is coming and preparations are underway at Atherton Ranch for a celebration the likes of which haven't been seen there in years. Edmund has something special in mind for David - if he can get it there in one piece, while David has plans for showing his gratitude to his new family - if he can pull them off.

In the meantime, Edmund and David continue exploring ways of loving each other, discreetly of course. They're not about to declare their love on a ranch full of rowdy men in 1919. But they sure have their fun.

This novella of 26,000 words and approximately 77 printed pages was written to be enjoyed on its own, but exists as a follow-up to the highly rated "Off the Old Head of Kinsale" and though light on angst and conflict, is heavy on joy and love, an uplifting, cozy read for the holidays!

Book extras: recipes for Cook's Bread Pudding for Edmund and Spotted Dick

For adults only. Contains graphic descriptions of physical love expressed between men.

An excerpt from Christmas at Atherton Ranch:

The young Welshman narrowed his eyes. "You again."

Edmund grinned sheepishly and shrugged. "It's inevitable. I live here."

David strode up to him and poked him in the chest with his forefinger, speaking too quietly for anyone else to hear. "I've half a mind to bugger you tonight."

"Oh, yes?" Edmund raised his eyebrows as he took off his coat. "And what would it take to bring the other half along?"

"Not much, actually. Got to get you back for that sneak attack earlier."

"What? By killing me with kindness?" Edmund blushed. "I'll hold you to that, you know."

Edmund had been slower to appreciate the joy of being mounted by his lover. But David could do anything he wanted to his body, as far as the young Canadian was concerned.

"I'll have you begging for mercy," David assured him, smiling broadly.

"I certainly hope so. The tree is beautiful. Did you do that yourself?"
