Description
Sam Garrety is fed up after decades of New York City traffic, the cities' taxi rules and regulations and disgruntled passengers. He's tired of cleaning vomit up from drunken passengers and the dirty diapers left in the crack of the back seat. At the end of his shift, he parks across the street from the Lincoln Tunnel, a cold, dark laborinth snaking its way into his world of chaos and mayhem. However, here also is a way out.
Turning the wheel left, Sam drives his old Checker Taxi cab west. He doesn't stop until he reaches the Navaho reservation in Arizona. There, he meets D'Ozilgai Sanderson, a sweet Native American women who he immediate becomes attracted to. All goes well until three teenaged delinquents throw him into the trunk of his taxi and take him deep into the unforgiving desert wasteland of Monument Valley. Sam must survive the scorching hot desert and walk out on his own without water or shelter to D'Ozilgai's waiting arms.
