Description
MY SMALL WORLD: Dedicated in honor of my brothers Gerald and Milton and in memory of our brother Ronald Owen. Memories of a time when the phrase: "free- ranging" applied only to livestock and not kids. Born at the trailing edge of the Great Depression in 1938, I was the oldest of four boys. When chores were done, we "ranged and roamed" on foot free to explore our 240 acre farm adjoining Maquoketa Caves State Park. Later, using our bikes we rode of dirt and gravel roads; on few occasions reaching the Maquoketa River. My Small World slowly expanded roamed into a bigger world to understand the mysteries of electronics and wonders of binary numbers and computers and automation. Childhood memories of MY SMALL WORLD roaming the hills and valleys within that 240 acres -- still seem as vivid as if yesterday. I invite you come with me as I walk down memory lane --back into MY SMALL WORLD.
