A virus designed to control the spiraling spider population has turned them into mutated poisonous killers. The small village of Newtown bore the brunt of the spider invasion but now lies in ruins after the military raised it to the ground. Now the virus is airborne and soon the mutations begin to take over the nearby city of Hemmington.
