Description
Shane Porter is struck by the most dazzling woman he's ever seen, and his belief in fate reassures him that if they're meant to meet, their paths will cross.
Little does he know that the woman in question is Aurora Altman, a woman who lives her life on her own terms paying little attention to others' opinions, and who's so guarded she keeps finding defects in people, no matter what. That last thing she'll be willing to do is open up to the younger, surely inexperienced Sattely agent who's thrown into her life when she becomes a suspect in a burglary.
Will she give him the chance to help her clear her name? And what will happen when an unexpected kiss throws them into a whirlwind passion that one is open to but the other rejects?
Warning: There are explicit romantic scenes. For mature audiences (+18).

Excerpt
Shane Porter loved to run, and he couldn't help but smile as he sped along the pier. It was a bright, cool early November morning, and it being a Saturday meant that quite a lot of runners, cyclers and skaters were using the path.
Some people glanced his way as his familiar face and considerable fame carried a recognition for those who knew sports, especially soccer.
As usual, Shane smiled back at those who did just that, and he was having a pleasant enough run before something made his heartbeat speed up.
Someone, rather than something.
He'd seen it on some websites and it being New York, he'd seen it on some people as well.
But the girl he saw, no, the woman, had galaxy hair in a messy ponytail that swayed as she ran in front of him.
Shane didn't know much, but he knew he had to see her face.
Just when he was about to reach her, she stepped out of the path and ran towards the street. He followed her but she crossed right before the light changed and he had to stop.
Shane took his headphones off. "Hey," he said loud enough for her to hear and stop.
Aurora Altman turned around and saw a young guy staring at her, entranced. Something told her to stay put and wait for him.
Instead, she turned around and ran. She didn't see the guy holding one of her earrings.
