Private detective Joe Grabarz is scratching a living working small cases for clients who don't pay well, but when a reward is put out for a missing girl, he sees an opportunity to turn his fortunes around.

The only problem is that everyone in Brighton wants a piece of the action.

And yet, still no one can find her.

It reminds Joe of his first case, another missing girl. Back then no one seemed to care. Could the answers to the present mystery lie in his past?

In a race against time to find the girl, Joe will have to face up to his mistakes, untangle a web of local corruption, and confront a sinister conspiracy.
