Suddenly out of a job when the Binghamton, New York law firm where he works declares bankruptcy and closes up shop, Jerome Jarvis dumps his gorgeous girlfriend and heads to New York City to find a new job and a new love.
Jerome feels very fortunate when he lands a temporary position to conduct a civil trial even though he has never been to court before. Jerome wouldn't feel so lucky if he could foresee the tidal wave of danger that was about to engulf him.
