Roll up, roll up...
Meet The Bearded Lady, The Strongman, Jimmy the Tightrope Walker, and Joey the Clown.
LIFE in the circus has turned STRANGE.
Jimmy has run away from the circus, while his brother Joey the Clown has committed a chilling murder, and the police are closing in fast. Captain Popov, the alcoholic human cannonball, checks into the secure mental rehabilitation facility known as The Farm, where the misfits and outcasts come together in a delicious cocktail of disaster and recovery.
The Circus is a dazzling, three-ring act -- a tour de force with a wicked twist that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Circus is a dark, visionary fiction novel that delves into the chaotic underworld of addiction recovery, psychological breakdown, and twisted brotherhood. Blending elements of mental health fiction, alcoholism recovery, metaphysical fiction, and psychological rehab storytelling, The Circus is a wild ride for fans of Fight Club, A Million Little Pieces, and Trainspotting. It's perfect for readers drawn to trauma-driven fiction, rehab center novels, and existential tales with dark humor.
Run away from the circus... or get dragged into the main act.
About the Author
James Newman has been described as "terrifically gifted, enormously energetic" by Edgar Award nominee Timothy Hallinan, and a writer who "strips away the bull****" by Shamus Award winner Christopher G. Moore. He holds a Master of Arts in Victorian Gothic Literature and lives in Bangkok, where he writes fiction and makes films. The Circus is his eighth novel -- an unflinching, surreal exploration of addiction, madness, and redemption, inspired by his personal experiences in recovery at a secure rehabilitation center.
