Description
A case of an accidental overdose... or murder?
When DS Flynn Moran arrives back home in Muddlebay, shunned by the Met and dumped in a quiet seaside town, his arrival sparks little interest. For nothing ever happens in Muddlebay. And they certainly don't need a hot shot detective from London.
But when the body of a local dignitary is found by his wife, dead of an apparent overdose of atropine, Flynn demands an autopsy and forensic evidence, which proves the man was murdered.
The local librarian, Mabel Heggarty, befriends Flynn, as she did when he was a boy. For with a pernickety disposition people don't naturally warm to him. But no matter, for the only thing Flynn cares about is finding the killer.
Not realising he's setting himself up as bait...
