In 1873, the town of Good Rock, Nevada's crime is spiraling out of control. In an act of desperation, the inept law enforcement hire the services of the Western Protection Company, a local group of bandits turned militia for hire. When the outlaw group cross the line in a bout of needless bloodshed, the local law enforcement have no choice but to cut ties and put prices on their heads.

Billy Earl, a travelling ranch hand, finds work at the Bellamy ranch and falls madly in love with the family's eldest daughter, Elle. Forbidden from being together, the young lovers make plans to elope. Billy plans to kill Ed Bader, the Western Protection Company leader, in order to fund his new life with Elle.

The unforeseeable repercussions of the innocent lovers' plans will surely be felt throughout the town for years to come.
