Description
From the moment we are born, we are all told to be kind, show respect, and love others. Few people ever get shown how to love others properly. And even fewer people are taught how to love themselves. The question is, how can we genuinely love others if we don't also love ourselves? Eddie wants to give those in similar situations that he has been in a glimpse of hope. I suppose that's why he is writing his second book about how to navigate the situations and hardships he has been in throughout his life. I think what makes me the most hopeful about his writing is the straightforwardness of it all. Some truths will hit you like a brick wall sometimes, but not in a rude way. Eddie wants you to look into yourself and explore those tough emotions that most of the time, you want to avoid. He does it in a way that makes you want to change into the best version of yourself, not just for you but those around you as well. If you know Eddie or have read his first book FML (F@*k My Life, Forgive Me Lord), then you know his life was no walk in the park, but the way he still finds hope in most situations makes you want to go out and find that too. His honesty with himself makes you want to experience that hard-hitting honesty also. If you have any sort of mental illness, his openness about his walk with that demon will open your eyes to the fact that you're probably not as alone in this world as you thought, and some people will be there for you at your lowest. Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure this book will be hard to put down but by no means easy to follow if you do it correctly. So this one's for you. The broken, the used, the abused, the hurt, the sad, the lost, and so much more. Things might not get better, but you sure as hell will. This book is only a possible starting point for your journey towards loving yourself.
