Description
1943 - Hollywood. When Claude Rains receives an anonymous, cryptic message while at a USO performance in San Diego, he turns to his old World War One comrade Basil Rathbone, to help him solve the mystery. Treated with suspicion by the authorities, but aided by a raft of fellow actors - Hedy Lamarr, Bette Davis, Johnny Weissmuller, and Errol Flynn, among others - they battle a violent espionage ring while deciphering clues that will guide their next steps. Journeying through wartime California, to and from some of its most iconic landmarks, they soon realize that an even more sinister and far-reaching plot may be afoot.
