Kian Briggs works for the BHA (British Horseracing Authority) as an investigator in the Integrity Department. The police needed an experienced investigator to work with them on an ongoing murder/rape case which had re-emerged and remained unsolved from over twenty years ago. The police had evidence which led them to believe that the perpetrator of the crime was possibly linked to a racing stable. Kian was chosen to help and went undercover in the Tony Rawlings stable in Newmarket. Tony and his daughter Kendra were the only ones who knew about the arrangement. Kian grew closer to Kendra but his investigations led them both into a world with which neither was familiar.
The more involved he became the more they were both in danger Kian did what he could to protect Kendra and when he saw the light at the end of the tunnel he breathed a sigh of relief. Then someone switched the light off. When he discovered who'd flipped the switch could he be on hand in time to complete his rescue mission or would he lose the love of his life forever.
