Description
When Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sergeant Jane Kurtz punches a perp for grabbing her butt, she is in hot water with the brass for excessive use of force. Her punishment? She is tasked to start a Cold Case Unit to investigate hundreds of murders that have gone unsolved in the past five decades. Jane is required to include two civilian members of the local community to bring fresh eyes to these unsolved murders. One of those civilians she asks is Marco Cortes, a self-educated genius with obvious undiagnosed personality disorders and a photographic memory. Marco is a dysfunctional college dropout driving drunks by night in his rideshare Tesla, while he works multiple side hustles to make ends meet. Together they must solve the ten-year-old murder of a young Hispanic woman. But there are no witnesses, no real physical evidence, and no apparent motive.
