At first she assumes that she's merely been caught up in all this madness by pure chance, but she gradually comes to understand that a darker force might be at work, one that brought her together with Patrick for one very specific purpose.

What really happened to the other vampires? Why does Patrick never say a word? And what will happen on the day when he eventually speaks again?

Dark Season I is the first book in the original Dark Season trilogy, which began in 2011. The book ends on a cliffhanger.
