Adam and his two companions continue to fight their way across the devastated landscape of a post-apocalyptic America. The artificial intelligence that inhabits the supercomputer implanted in Adam's brain has become more and more human. Nan, the A.I., eventually reacquires the body she feared had been lost to her forever.
Adam and Nan train rigorously to gain the maximum benefit from their genetic augmentations as Adam's wolfdog, Roe, grows stronger in both body and mind.
With the support of his companions Adam is able to overcome the many challenges along the way. During their journey the three are successful in helping others and righting many wrongs. That is something they intend to continue doing but that alone is no longer enough. They commit to using their gifts to pursue a greater dream.
