Description
A billionaire, marriage-of-convenience, match-maker story... with just one bed:
It's a cheesy trope from a bad movie, but Carissa's not about to settle for a temporary marriage of convenience to help Hunter meet the terms of his father's will. When a change of circumstance convinces her to take the deal, their wedding night turns out all too real. Is it coincidence? Or was their match-maker onto them from the beginning?

So, this stuff really happens?
Rich men really write ridiculous clauses into their wills, forcing their heirs to get married in order to claim inheritances?
It's a cheesy trope from a bad movie.
"How are the terms of your father's will even holding up in court?"
"I didn't contest the will up front," he continues, "so the courts consider that concession. Now the terms are binding and marriage is my only option."
His voice hardens again, making him sound more like a man who's used to negotiating-- and getting what he asks for.
"What changed?" I ask, matching my tone to his, making it clear that I'm not some simpering damsel in distress that can be bought so that a millionaire playboy can keep his access to his millions
There's no way I'm agreeing to a marriage of convenience just so Hunter can keep spending his daddy's money, and I'm sure as hell not about to sign this stupid non-disclosure agreement.
My eyes move up and hold his.
I want to hear him say it.
I want to hear him tell me how hard his life is now that he's not going to be able to keep living like a trust fund frat boy and has to go to work for his uncle and take responsibility like a big boy.
Then I'm out of here.
"Because if I can't gain control of the company, my mother is going to lose her home."
That's not what I expected him to say at all.
It's not going to be so easy to laugh in his face after all.
