Description

In an ancient world, a slave girl, a warrior, and a fatherless boy must fight the forces of oppression ruling their lives. At pivotal times that test their integrity, their lives are intertwined, and they gain strength from one another. Hana bought and sold on the auction block, has lost everything she knows and loves. Idan returns from battle to a heartbreaking betrayal. Samuel, fatherless and struggling to keep his family afloat, strives to make something out of his life.

With inner strength and courage, Idan and Hana live through the challenges of prejudice and tragedies brought by war. Both let their hearts soar through the power of their music. When Hana plays the ocarina, she is able to convey her sadness and proclaim her identity. When Idan plays the lute, he is able to release the pain of his heart since he has experienced the tragedy of war. Their music combine to make harmonious melodies as their lives and destinies draw closer together.

Realizing Hana's great potential, Idan provides her with the opportunity to go to school. At school, she is eager to arise to both academic and athletic challenges. She becomes the first female to ever enroll in a stone-throwing competition. At stake is not only her ability to gain recognition but also to receive prize money which she can use to buy her freedom.

Hana is in great peril as she finds out that her cousin is in much worse circumstances than her. Will Hana be self-sacrificing and put her cousin's freedom above her own? How will the discrimination that they face affect their lives forever? A great fight for justice is played out before the courts.

Later, Idan learns that his wife has been unfaithful to him with the king. Since adultery is punishable by law in their society, will the king be able to escape from punishment?
Will the king's power and influence be able to bring a masquerade that will bring consequences for Idan?
