Description
After spending twenty-three years on the run, a violent assassin suddenly resurfaces in Glasgow, right in the middle of the Covid lockdown. He's wanted for murder, but DCI Pat Curzon can't arrest the man because he possesses evidence which could sink the detective.
Puzzled as to why he's come back, the policeman decides to keep the assassin close while fathoming a way to send him packing again.
When the assassin's spotted having clandestine meetings with Curzon's arch enemies, the detective starts to panic that they may have brought the killer home especially to execute him. His fear only intensifies when an associate is found dead under grizzly circumstances, leaving the sleuth to wonder if they were murdered precisely because of their acquaintanceship. But why?
Caught in a Catch-22, career potentially ruined and a prison sentence if he arrests the assassin, almost certain death if he doesn't, Curzon finds himself racing against the clock to solve the riddle.
With Glasgow's atmospheric streets centre stage and comic relief provided by Curzon's trusty Liverpudlian sidekick, Tommy McDermott, The Grid Plan is yet another thrilling and outrageous episode in the Dirty Rouge series.
