I love so many things about this... especially how the main character is so open about her sexual needs. She never plays games, never holds back, always tells him exactly what she wants without fearing rejection -- which she sometimes gets. That is so refreshing in erotic literature! She is a great protagonist that we can't help but love and identify with. And that is the heart of good storytelling.

First, I love the historical details, making the story breathe with life. Second, even though Sabina is insatiable with Gianmarco at all times, she is a lady: elegant, cultured, and refined. I was excited by the fact that she's so high society, but yet so basic.

and that is why I find it so compelling.
